Job summary

Hammer & Steel Global, LLC in Dayton, TX is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain large construction machines. The role runs Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with a full-time, on-site schedule.

A sign-on bonus of $5,000 and competitive wages up to $40/hour support a strong benefits package. Applicants should have 5+ years of relevant experience or 2 years of technical training, plus skills in hydraulics, electrical systems, schematics, and CANbus/PLC

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of relevant heavy equipment maintenance or 2 years of technical training for entry.
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics and use digital voltmeters (DVMs).
• CANbus and PLC knowledge is expected.

Responsibilities

• Run diagnostics, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and fuel systems on heavy equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks including lubrication and fluid changes.
• Maintain accurate written service records of work performed.
• Educate customers on equipment operation and performance.
