Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining heavy construction equipment in a safe, team-based environment.

Requirements include a two-year certificate and extensive diesel, hydraulic, and electrical system experience; CDL preferred. You will work nights or weekends as needed and comply with safety policies.

Qualifications

• Two year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• Extensive experience in truck and / or heavy equipment maintenance and repair, including diesels, hydraulic systems and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect machines to diagnose defects.
• Analyze malfunctions and repair or rebuild heavy equipment.
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment using hoists and hand tools.
• Test overhauled equipment for operating efficiency.
• Weld broken parts and assist with assembly/disassembly of equipment.
• Maintain records of time and parts used on forms.
• Plan work procedures and possible improvements for parts or assemblies.
• Perform general cleaning of work areas and maintenance areas.
