Republic Services in Pontiac, IL is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to perform repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment, light service equipment, and light trucks. This role covers hydraulics, electrical, HVAC and emission systems to maximize safe and productive operations.
The ideal candidate has ASE certification and OSHA safety knowledge, plus experience with Tier 4 emission systems, welding or fabrication skills, and experience documenting work and parts in fleet management software.
The Heavy Equipment Technician performs repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment, compact heavy equipment, light service equipment, and light trucks. Typical repairs include, but are not limited to, preventative maintenance inspections, hydraulic, fuel, exhaust, brakes, suspension, electrical, HVAC, and emission systems.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a technician position requiring knowledge and application of OSHA Haz Com; OSHA Lock Out Tag Out and all OSHA Fire Protection regulations.
$45.15/hr
