Job summary

Milton CAT in Brewer, ME is seeking a Shop Technician for our Earthmoving Division. You will diagnose, repair, and overhaul Caterpillar equipment, performing preventive maintenance and safe servicing of major components in a modern shop.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of heavy equipment or diesel technician experience or Diesel Tech degree.
• Strong knowledge of engines, hydraulics, electrical, and drivetrains.
• Solid diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Repair, rebuild, and overhaul major components.
• Perform inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment and systems.
• Complete service reporting and documentation.
• Stay current with evolving tools and technology.
• Work safely and collaboratively with your team.
