Job summary

Pape’ MATERIAL HANDLING, INC. in Seattle, WA is seeking a Shop Technician to work on heavy equipment in a well-equipped shop.

You will diagnose and repair a range of material handling and construction equipment, ensuring repairs are accurate and timely to maximize uptime for customers. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of diagnosing and repairing equipment, basic computer skills, and the ability to provide their own tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing equipment.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivation and willingness to learn.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or failures in the shop.
• Execute necessary repairs or component replacements.
• Rebuild or replace transmissions, masts, differentials, hydraulic components, engines, electrical systems, and/or steering mechanisms.
• Welding and fabrication may be required as part of certain repairs.
