Job summary

Tapani in Battle Ground, WA, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician to inspect and repair equipment entering the shop. You will diagnose issues, read wiring diagrams, and ensure repairs meet safety standards.

Responsibilities include assisting field techs, maintaining shop organization, and communicating repairs to the shop foreman. Typical hours span 7am–5pm, averaging 40–45 hours weekly with occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Good communication skills within own department.
• Able to lift 60 pounds.
• Solid understanding of equipment systems.
• Welding when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist field techs when needed.
• Ensure all safety regulations are followed.
• Communicate repairs to shop foreman.
• Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
• Repair and replace damaged parts as directed by shop foreman.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose equipment to determine repairs needed.
• Read wiring diagrams and hydraulic schematics and follow diagnostic procedures.
