Job summary

NED – National Equipment Dealers is seeking a skilled service technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain off-road heavy construction equipment such as excavators, material handlers, and wheel loaders. You will work on engines, hydraulics, electrical and diagnostic systems in a fast-paced shop environment.

Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in heavy equipment, with Cummins certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in heavy equipment diagnostics and repair.
• Cummins certification preferred.
• Proficiency in diagnostics, hydraulics, electrical systems, pneumatics and diesel engines.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose fault codes and perform repairs as required.
• Perform start-ups and inspections of electrical systems from low to high voltage.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
• Keep detailed records of all work for asset management and work orders.
• Record and track time worked and take photos/videos to accompany logs.
• Assist service manager with additional duties as needed.
