Job summary

NED – National Equipment Dealers is seeking a skilled heavy equipment technician in Macon, GA. You will diagnose, repair, and service off-road heavy construction equipment, ensuring reliable performance on brand-name machines.

Qualified applicants have at least 5 years in the field, strong diagnostic and electrical skills, and preferably Cummins certification. The role includes extensive preventative maintenance, precise record-keeping, and activity documentation for asset management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in heavy equipment.
• Cummins certification preferred.
• Proficient in diagnostics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose fault codes and perform required repairs.
• Diagnostics, testing, start-ups, and calibrations of electrical systems.
• Preventative maintenance on diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
• Keep detailed records of all work performed for asset management.
• Record and track time worked.
• Take photos and videos of repair processes to accompany logs.
• Assist service manager with additional duties as needed.
