Job summary

Brannan Companies is seeking a Heavy Equipment Shop Diesel Mechanic to perform daily maintenance inspections, service, and repair of construction equipment at the Lipan Plant in Denver. The successful candidate will work on skid loaders, wheel loaders, pavers, milling machines, rollers, excavators and related paving equipment on a day shift.

3,000 USD sign-on bonus is offered. Candidates should have 5+ years of experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work overtime while adhering

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy equipment mechanic experience preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and emission control systems.
• Manufacturer computer diagnostic software knowledge a plus.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willing to overtime and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance checks to assess and repair heavy equipment failure.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections and maintain records.
• Service hydraulic systems; track and transmission maintenance.
• Deliver and install parts on equipment at job sites.
• Load/unload materials; general cleanup of equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain tools and equipment.

Heavy Equipment Shop Diesel Mechanic (Req #: 436)

Position Description

Division: Brannan Sand + Gravel

Reports To: Shop Services Manager

FLSA Status: Full Time / Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $30.00 - $35.00 / hr

Sign-On Bonus: $3,000

Position Summary:

As a "Heavy Equipment Mechanic", your general responsibilities will be to perform daily maintenance inspections, service, and repair construction equipment. This includes Skid Loaders, Wheel Loaders, Pavers, Milling Machines, Rollers Scrapers, Excavators, Compaction Equipment, and various Asphalt Paving Equipment. This is a Day Shift position based out of the Brannan Lipan Plant.

Functional Responsibilities:

• The Mechanic must perform daily maintenance checks to assess and repair heavy equipment failure
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on the equipment and prepare/maintain inspection and maintenance records
• Servicing hydraulic systems
• Track and transmission maintenance
• Delivering and installing parts on equipment at the job site
• Loading and unloading materials
• General cleanup of equipment
• Checking, changing, and maintaining fluid levels
• Adheres to all safety protocols
• Maintenance of all equipment and tools

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

• 5 + years of Heavy Equipment Mechanic experience preferred
• General knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and emission control systems
• Manufacturer computer diagnostic software knowledge a plus
• Must have a Valid Driver's License
• Must have flexibility for overtime
• Show up to work every day punctually
• No use of cell phones during work shifts
• Must be safety-minded, team-oriented and customer-focused
• Detail and technically oriented individual
• Must be self-motivated with ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
• Able to work in outdoor setting under varying weather conditions
