Job summary

ASCO Equipment in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical systems in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

You'll work in the shop or in the field, collaborating with the Service Manager and other departments to keep customer equipment running at peak performance. On-the-job training and a clear path for growth are provided.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in heavy equipment repair (or technical certification/associate’s degree).
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and work within time constraints.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Must be able to obtain a forklift license.
• Your own tool set for heavy equipment repair.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to handle loads up to 55 lbs and maneuver around/crawl under equipment in order to conduct repairs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical systems—in the shop or the field
• Perform planned maintenance and keep equipment running smoothly
• Work closely with the Service Manager and other departments to meet customer needs
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, whether in the shop or on the road
• Use computers and communication tools to document repairs and stay in sync with the team
