Heavy Equipment Operator - Williamsport, PA

Responsibilities

• Model and promote good safety practices. Ensure safety is never compromised.
• Skillfully operate and maneuver equipment for ditching, excavating, backfilling, tamping, breaking, and running, with minimal disruption to surroundings.
• Inspect, monitor, and maintain heavy equipment to ensure optimal operation. Identify and address problems or defects.
• Place, remove, and maintain materials within the worksite.
• Collaborate with laborers to facilitate the alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
• Secure the work site, equipment, and materials at the end of each shift to ensure safety.
• Follow all policies and procedures, adhering to company and client standards.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of construction equipment operation experience; steep slope construction experience a plus.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

• Monday - Friday schedule, with Saturdays as required.
• Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, odors, and vibrations.
• Ability to exert over 50 pounds of force occasionally and over 20 pounds constantly.
• Must be able to see, hear, talk, and perform manual tasks, including climbing, kneeling, standing, walking, and reaching.
