Job summary

Burford’s Construction is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to support clearing and maintenance for our power grid across multiple locations in the United States. Travel to different states may be required to meet customer demands.

The role requires at least 3+ years of operating heavy equipment (bulldozers, excavators, skid steers, forestry equipment), proficient English communication, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; bilinguals are a plus.

Qualifications

• Readily join storm restoration efforts when required.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.
• Willing to work overtime when requested.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Work safely while performing civil, matting, or forestry related clearance work.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order.
• Capable of receiving and following directions.
• Capable of working at heights and/or confined spaces.
• Capable of properly inspecting PPE (personnel protective equipment).
• Able to identify different types of materials used in line work.
