Job summary

Burford’s Construction is seeking an Equipment Operator to operate and maintain forestry equipment such as Jarraffs and brush cutters across multiple job sites. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of experience, and a valid driver’s license; CDL is preferred. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus, with occasional travel and storm restoration duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record strongly preferred.
• 1 year of related equipment operation experience.
• Able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a range of forestry equipment safely.
• Perform line clearance tasks such as pruning near electrical conductors where required.
• Inspect and maintain PPE, vehicles, and tools; follow safety rules at all times.
• Travel to various sites and work outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
• Join storm restoration efforts as needed and work extended hours when required.
