Job Description - Heavy Equipment Operator - Utility Operator (250001AO)

What You’ll Do:
  1. Promote Safety: Prioritize safety throughout the operation for yourself and others, in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
  2. Operate Heavy Equipment: Operate off-highway equipment to transport raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently.
  3. Inspect Equipment: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and complete relevant documentation accurately.
  4. Maintain Equipment: Check vehicle fluid levels, perform minor maintenance, and ensure equipment performance.
  5. Monitor Processes: Observe plant operations and report maintenance or adjustments needed to ensure safety.
  6. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills You’ll Need:
  1. Experience: Prior experience operating heavy construction equipment is preferred.
  2. Knowledge of Best Practices: Understanding of operating and servicing heavy construction equipment is preferred.
  3. Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime, extended hours, and outside in all weather conditions, tolerating loud noises.
