Job summary

Martin Marietta, based in Earlham, IA, is seeking a motivated individual to join the Iowa Grading Team. The role involves operating a range of heavy equipment to move raw materials from pit to plant, with travel across Central Iowa and Eastern Nebraska.

Expect a competitive hourly wage plus drive time, mileage pay, and a $175 per diem. Essential duties include equipment operation, safety inspections, preventative maintenance, and good housekeeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year related experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Bi-lingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (haul truck, motor grader, water truck, etc.) to move raw materials safely.
• Assist in plant repairs and cleaning; perform preventative maintenance tasks.
• Conduct pre-shift inspections and report needed repairs to shop personnel.
• Maintain good housekeeping of equipment and adhere to safety rules (MSHA).
• Be flexible to support other plants within Central Iowa/Eastern Nebraska as needed.

Job Description:Martin Marietta is currently looking for a motivated individual to join our Iowa Grading Team. This position will have the opportunity to operate a variety of heavy equipment to include haul truck, motor grader, water truck, etc. to bring raw materials from pit to plant in a safe and efficient manner at maximum loading capacity. This position will be based out of Earlham, IA but will travel around Central Iowa and Eastern Nebraska to help other plants with production.This position is an excellent opportunity to work for one of the best companies in the industry and have work-life balance while working 5 days per week!This position is paid a competitive hourly wage as well as drive time pay, mileage pay and $175 per diem pay.Essential FunctionsMust be able to or willing to learn to operate all other mobile equipment, including haul truck, motor grader, water truck, dozer and excavators.Assist in plant repairs and clean-upPerform pre-shift safety inspection on equipmentPerform preventative maintenance and service mobile equipment.
