Job summary

Firstech Environmental, Inc. in Farmingdale, NJ is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for site remediation projects. Responsibilities include operating heavy equipment, preparing construction sites, and assisting contractors while supervising on-site crew.

For 30 years, Firstech Environmental, Inc., located in Farmingdale, NJ has been a leader in the environmental industry for site remediation, UST closure, general site work and we are interviewing for the following job position:Heavy Equipment Operator for Site Remediation Projects:Minimum 3 years of experience with heavy equipmentSkillfully operate various types of equipmentSite remediation and supervisory experience working with an on-site crewMust have a clean and valid driver's licenseCDL Class AComplete previous projects or receive new project instructions from supervisorProactively communicate with company personnel as requiredFollow instructions and use tools and equipment to complete daily tasksHave or willing to obtain 40-hr. OSHA HAZWOPER and subsequent annual 8-hr. refresherFollow all health and safety regulations at all times when onsite, operating equipment, driving vehicles, etc.Ensure regulated and proper headgear, ear plugs, gloves, safety glasses, respirator and clothing are wornComplete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner as required on a project basisPrepare new construction sites by digging, moving dirt, or compacting soil as neededProvide assistance to contractors (i.e. craft workers, masons, mechanical foreman, etc. ) as neededTrain other Field Staff on experienced tasks and learn new tasks from coworkersClean and clear debris, hazardous and non-hazardous materialsEnsure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properlyBackground checks are a requirement for employmentAbility to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 100 poundsAble to work independently or as an active member of a teamExperience:Relevant: 1 year (Preferred)Heavy Equipment Operator: 5 years (Preferred)heavy equipment mechanic: 3 years (Preferred)Company Benefits:This is a full time hourly position that includes OT at time over 8 hours/day.
