Firstech Environmental, Inc. is seeking a Field Technician/Environmental Assistant to join our remediation crew in New Jersey. The role involves outdoor work, operating hand tools, and supporting contractors on active sites.

You will prepare sites, follow safety regulations, and assist with tasks such as digging, dirt movement, and soil compaction. Candidates must have a valid NJ license and be able to pass background checks; CDL training is available after tenure.

Qualifications

• MUST HAVE valid NJ license and reliable transportation.
• CDL Class A is a plus and may be trained to obtain endorsements.
• Able to stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• HAZWOPER training or willingness to obtain it is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily site work by organizing materials, tools, and equipment.
• Work on a site remediation crew and assist contractors.
• Maintain safety protocols, PPE, and equipment handling at all times.
• Train other Field Laborers and learn tasks from coworkers.
• Assist in site construction tasks such as digging, moving dirt, and soil compaction.

Firstech Environmental, Inc. is a full-service environmental consulting and site remediation contracting firm located in Farmingdale, New Jersey since 1996. Our experienced staff is dedicated to providing responsive environmental solutions throughout the State of New Jersey. We are seeking a skilled, Field Laborer with limited experience. Field Laborer will be responsible for a variety of tasks, primarily on a site remediation crew, and be required to have knowledge a wide range of hand tools. Note, you will also have to work outdoors in a mixture of weather conditions.Field Technician/Environmental Assistant Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare site each day by preparing materials, tools, and equipmentAfter a year of employment,Firstechwill help to train and obtain a valid CDL drivers license with a tank endorsement. Willing to train to have a CDL tanker endorsement.Complete previous projects or receive new project instructions from supervisorProactively communicate with company personnel as requiredFollow instructions and use tools and equipment to complete daily tasksHave or willing to obtain 40-hr.
