Job summary

Ash Grove Cement Company is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our field operations. You will operate front-end loaders, dozers, graders, and other heavy equipment to move bulk materials, support site preparation, and load trucks or railcars.

The role requires attention to safety, ability to read project plans, communicate with supervisors, and perform basic maintenance. You will work on a rotating shift schedule with weekend and overtime as needed, in our Texas facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of experience in heavy equipment operation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working condition and report any defects.
• Operate equipment such as front-end loaders, dozers, graders, rollers, excavators, dump trucks, vacuum or water truck.
• Execute site preparation, earthmoving, and material handling per project plans and supervisor instructions.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including checking fluids and lubrication.
• Maneuver equipment in confined spaces and around obstacles while ensuring safety of personnel.
• Load and unload materials using appropriate attachments.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to coordinate tasks and report issues.
• Maintain regular attendance and scheduling flexibility.
