Job summary

emerysapp is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to work on construction projects in Springfield, Missouri. You will operate bulldozers, excavators, and loaders, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality while coordinating with crew and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

We value strong reading of construction plans, solid communication, and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance and safety compliance.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
3+ years experience operating heavy equipment in construction.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
Strong communication and analytical skills.
Experience with government contracts and compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment (bulldozers, excavators, loaders) to move materials and earth.
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to high quality standards.
Maintain equipment and perform basic repairs as needed.
Communicate with crew members and subcontractors to keep on schedule and budget.
Develop and maintain relationships with crew and subcontractors regarding schedules and deadlines.
Ensure equipment is properly maintained and safety procedures followed at all times.
Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction projects.
Provide on-the-job training to new operators as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
