Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate Dozers, Excavators, Backhoes and related machinery on road and site projects in Tempe, AZ.

You will perform earthmoving, grading, trenching and stockpiling while adhering to safety policies, conducting inspections, and coordinating with a team in a dynamic construction environment.

Shift options include day, swing and occasional night hours to meet project demands, with emphasis on accuracy, quality, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating heavy equipment in construction environment.
• Knowledge of earthwork and road/highway construction is preferred.
• Ability to operate equipment within designated area with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy mobile equipment including dozers, motorgraders, excavators, backhoes, compaction equipment, scrapers, and wheel loaders.
• Excavate, move, load, and grade earth, rock, gravel, and other materials.
• Perform road building, fine grading, finishing, sloping, banking, backfilling, demolition, ditching, loading, trenching, and stockpiling.
• Operate equipment according to company safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure equipment operation stays within capabilities and limitations.
• Perform required safety inspections and complete documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site.
• Perform other duties as assigned
