Job summary

Harvard Integrations is seeking a Material Handler to load and unload freight using forklifts, cranes, and rigging, and to support on-site logistics. You will determine loading weights, verify capacities, and work with the Shipping Lead to ensure accurate shipment details.

Role requires dexterity, math and computer skills, strong communication, and flexibility for extended hours, including weekends. Maintain safe, organized work areas and assist with miscellaneous duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience operating standard and heavy load capacity forklifts for complex loads preferred.
• General knowledge concerning operations of cranes, lifting and rigging preferred.
• Good hand, arm, leg dexterity and coordination; ability to keep hands and arms steady while moving or holding equipment in position.
• Basic math skills and computer skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Flexibility with work hours, including extended hours, Saturdays, and Sundays as needed.
• Ability to maintain composure when faced with conflict.
• Ability to carefully judge distance accurately.
• Work effectively with details and numbers.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload inbound or outbound freight and equipment using forklifts, cranes, and rigging equipment.
• Assist Manufacturing with on-site logistic needs and move process enclosures and CSE as required.
• Determine load weights and verify against capacities to prevent overload.
• Coordinate with Shipping Lead and staff for shipment details.
• Prepare buildings for shipment by boarding openings and securing equipment.
• Collaborate with Heavy Haul providers to secure shipments.
• Maintain safety and keep work area clean and organized.
• Ensure materials and equipment are stored properly; perform duties as needed by management.
• Complete projects or other functions as assigned.
