Job summary

Holliday Sand & Gravel Company, a CRH company, is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator to efficiently move materials and operate equipment while prioritizing safety on outdoor job sites in Kansas and surrounding areas.

You will work with experienced professionals in a team-oriented environment, perform daily equipment checks, and support plant operations and maintenance as needed. The role requires flexibility for night shifts, weekends, and travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
• Technical education or welding/fitting certificates a plus.
• State-approved Welding Certification is a bonus but not required.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Must be 18+ and physically able to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy and light mobile equipment as trained to maintain quarry access points.
• Perform pre-operational checks and routine servicing of equipment.
• Site clean-up using hand tools and maintain safe work platforms.
• Safely run and monitor the crushing plant as required.
• Assist with basic welding and fitting tasks as needed.
• Report operational or environmental issues to foreman.
• Adhere to safety procedures and use PPE per OSHA/MSHA guidelines.
