Job summary

Quikrete Holdings Inc. in Midlothian, TX is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our plant. You will operate, lubricate, and maintain heavy equipment under supervision of the Production Supervisor, ensuring safe and efficient performance.

Responsibilities include pre-shift inspections, reporting repairs, keeping records, housekeeping, spotting railcars, and assisting in plant cleanup. Must read/write English, have a HS diploma or GED, and be able to work with minimal supervision in all

Qualifications

• Must read, write and verbally communicate in English.
• Must be able to read and write to complete required daily reports.
• Good communication skills one-on-one and using a two-way radio.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and climb stairs/ladders.

Responsibilities

• Operates and lubricates heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Helps maintain heavy equipment.
• Responsible for housekeeping in work areas.
• Spotting and unloading railcars.
• Inspects belts and feeders.
• Cleans spills using jackhammer, shovel, and broom.
• Perform pre-shift inspections on the equipment.
• Report any needed repairs to the supervisor.
• Must be able to maintain accurate records.
• Assist in plant clean-up.
• Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.
