Job summary

The Briar Team in Sanford, FL is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator (Non CDL) to operate loaders, bulldozers and excavators on job sites. This full-time, weekly-pay role offers competitive pay, bonuses, profit sharing, and rich benefits in a family-owned site development company.

Expect 40–55+ hours per week with overtime potential. Requirements include a valid driver’s license, ability to pass an equipment test, and prior experience with dozers, excavators and loaders.

Qualifications

• Must pass equipment test and be invited for testing prior to offer.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to jobsite.
• Experience operating dozers, excavators, and loaders preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy loads and maintain excellent stamina.
• Authorized to work in the United States; drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, track hoes) safely.
• Transport and position equipment around job sites.
• Follow GPS for rough or finish grading tasks.
• Dig trenches and install trench boxes and underground pipe.
• Clear debris and perform daily equipment checks; assist with manual labor.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines.

Position Description

The Briar Team, Central Florida's top family-owned Site Development Construction company, is looking for hard-working and experienced (non CDL) Operators of Loaders, Bulldozers and Excavators for immediate hire with excellent pay and benefits, performance bonuses, profit sharing, generous vacation pay and yearly loyalty bonuses, in addition to training and opportunities for growth.

Construction Equipment Driver Responsibilities

• Operate Heavy Equipment such as: Excavators, Dozers, Loaders, Backhoe, Track Hoe
• Drive equipment to load/haul material around the job site in a safe manner.
• Follow Grade Stakes or use GPS to perform rough or finish grading tasks for ponds, slopes and roadways.
• Dig trenches to install trench boxes and install underground pipe work.
• Clearing trees and debris, use of root rake as needed.
• Operate heavy equipment such as Roller, Sweeper, Water Truck, Skid Steer on an as-needed basis.
• Perform daily inspections / maintenance of assigned truck.
• Perform manual labor as necessary on the job site.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday. Saturdays on an as-needed basis. 6:45am-4:45pm
• Full Time
• Overtime
• No overnights or over the road travel. No per diem pay.
• Jobsite Range: Palm Coast, FL to St Cloud, FL
• Year-round work

Position Requirements

• Must pass equipment test (selected candidates will be invited for testing prior to job offer)
• Valid Driver's License
• Reliable transportation to assigned jobsite
• Experience preferred (Dozer, excavator, loader operator experience)
• Ability to lift heavy loads
• Excellent stamina
• Authorization to work in the United States and a drug test will be required upon hiring.
