Job description

Shift: Monday - Friday 6pm to 6am, Occasional Weekends

Martin Marietta is currently looking for an energized Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at an underground limestone mine located at our Fort Calhoun Mine.

This position is responsible for operating a variety of mining equipment, including scalers, haul trucks, loaders, and water trucks.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Operate a variety of off-road haul trucks and other mining equipment such as scalers, loaders, and skid loaders.
2. Perform daily inspections of vehicles and work areas.
3. Observe visual and auditory signals during vehicle operation.
4. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment; clean equipment.
5. Assist with plant maintenance and repairs as needed.
6. Perform other mining-related duties as required.

Minimum Education and Experience

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of previous experience in a similar role.
• Bi-lingual skills are a plus.
