You will handle excavators, loaders, blades, haul trucks, water trucks, and dozers on diverse sites, ensuring safety and efficiency. The role requires 2+ years of field experience and a focus on hazard awareness, precision, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2+ years operating excavator/loader/dozer/blade.
• Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions for heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of trenching and shoring standards, aggregate sizes and load weight.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write short correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units and measurements.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate a diverse range of heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, blades, haul trucks, water trucks, and dozers for excavation and paving prep.
• Maintain safe slopes on excavations, barricades, and trenching/shoring compliance.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and adapt to changing site conditions.
• Travel between interstate highways and rural roads to various locations.

Williams Civil Construction in Missoula Montana is hiring Operators to be part of our action-packed worksites including utilities and site development. We're looking for skilled individuals who can safely and efficiently operate a variety of equipment such as: blades, dozers, loaders, excavators, haul trucks, water trucks, etc.

What You’ll Do:

• Safety is our top priority, and as an Operator, you'll be responsible for keeping a keen eye for hazards to keep yourself and the team out of harm's way
• Operate a diverse range of heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, blades, haul trucks, water trucks, and dozers, for everything from precise excavation to smooth paving prep
• Ensure safe slopes on excavations, proper barricading, and compliance with trenching and shoring standards.
• Every day presents new challenges, but you'll tackle them head-on - whether it's troubleshooting equipment issues or adapting to changing site conditions, your ability to think on your feet will be invaluable
• Travel from interstate highway to rural dirt roads from various locations

What You Bring:

• 2+ Years Operating Experience – Excavator / Loader / Dozer / Blade
• Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations
• Knowledge of trenching and shoring standards, aggregate sizes and classifications, and weight requirements of loads leaving the pit
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write short correspondence
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions
