Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Heavy Machine Operator to operate a variety of heavy machinery on construction sites, following safety guidelines and project specifications to keep work progressing on time. You will perform routine maintenance, report defects, document service logs, and communicate clearly with the crew.

The ideal candidate holds the required state license, has construction experience, and demonstrates strong teamwork and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Must hold the proper license to operate heavy machinery in the state.
• Previous construction or heavy equipment experience desired.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• The ability to work well within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a variety of large, heavy machinery safely, such as excavators, loaders, dozers, and more.
• Follow best digging practices for all projects.
• Work closely with the rest of the team on each project to ensure success.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment and related components.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to company schedules, manufacturer recommendations, and equipment needs.
• Respond to field breakdowns in a timely and professional manner.
• Complete safe and effective repairs without creating additional damage or unsafe conditions.
• Keep equipment operational, clean, safe, and ready for use.
• Operate Stripe Hog Truck as well as any other site equipment when required.
• Complete work orders, inspection forms, service logs, repair notes, time records, and parts usage accurately and on time.
• Document the issue found, troubleshooting performed, repairs completed, parts used, and final equipment status.
• Record mileage, hours, fluids, filters, maintenance intervals, and inspection results when required.
• Report lost, damaged, stolen, or broken tools and equipment immediately.
• Help operators understand proper daily checks, fluid levels, greasing, warning lights, and shutdown procedures.
• Clearly communicate when equipment should not be operated and verify that equipment is safe before returning it to service.
