What You'll Do:

1. Champion Safety: Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards. Follow established traffic patterns, avoid hazards, and report unsafe conditions immediately.
2. Operate Mobile Equipment Loaders: Operate loaders to load aggregates for processing, feed the plant, and safely load customer trucks within legal load limits. Prepare the mining site by stripping and pushing material closer to the feeder for processing.
3. Monitor Materials: Maintain an adequate feed of materials and stockpiles. Visually inspect materials for compliance with specifications.
4. Perform Inspections and Maintenance: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, complete daily reports accurately, and report any maintenance or adjustments needed. Participate in cleaning and general housekeeping activities.
5. Monitor Processes and Surroundings: Observe plant operations and report any issues that may require maintenance or adjustments to ensure safety.

Qualifications

1. Skills You'll Need:

Experience: 2 years experience operating loaders and dozers in a plant environment preferred.

Functional and Safety Knowledge: Solid understanding of equipment capabilities, product recognition, OSHA and MSHA regulations, and hazard recognition skills.

Flexibility: Ability to work overtime, extended hours, outdoors in all weather conditions, and tolerate loud noises.

Ready to Drive: Valid driver's license with a clean record.

Interpersonal Skills: Good communication, teamwork, prompt inquiry responses, and issue follow-through.
