Job summary

Recology Oregon Compost Inc. in North Plains is seeking an Equipment Operator to manage heavy equipment and ensure safe, efficient removal from the site. You will conduct pre- and post-shift inspections, maintain a clean work area, and support other operation areas as needed.

You will interact with customers professionally, suggest process improvements, and may act as a lead for other operators. Prior experience and a safety-focused mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of job site safety practices and local regulations.
• Basic computer aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment such as a loader, dozer, excavator, or similar equipment.
• Performs daily pre- and post-shift safety and equipment inspections.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Reports issues to the appropriate authority in a timely manner.
• Acts as a lead or resource for other Equipment Operators and provides training.
