Heavy Equipment Operator/Laborer 2nd / 3rd Shift

Position Overview

Perform duties around the job site including general labor, operating equipment such as paver, roller, loader, excavator, and maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions, respond accordingly.
• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently, including Haul Truck, Water Truck, Dump Truck, Dredge, Track Hoe, Frontend Loader, Skid Steer Loader.
• Follow directions and perform welding and fabrication as needed.
• Assist with general labor, equipment maintenance, and support crew activities.
• Maintain the plant and surrounding area, adhere to OSHA & MSHA regulations.
• Perform general equipment maintenance.
• Work various shifts, including day and night.

• Maintain professionalism and courtesy.
• Willing to travel and work away from home, including nights and weekends.
• Arrive prepared to work at designated times.
• Follow safety and company policies.
• Attend regularly and work well in a team environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred; 1-3 months related experience or training; or equivalent.

Protective Equipment

Wearing PPE such as gloves, hard hat, hearing protection, safety shoes, and harnesses as required by OSHA/MSHA.

• Basic math skills.
• Ability to understand and carry out instructions.

Physical & Vision Requirements

Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, climbing, and have good vision including peripheral and depth perception.
