Knowledge of heavy motor equipment operation, maintenance, traffic laws, safety precautions, and ability to follow instructions and perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of experience in heavy equipment operation and maintenance or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Includes dump trucks, front-end loaders, rollers, sewer jetters, sand spreaders, motor patrols, street sweepers, concrete saws, bucket truck with hydraulics, chain saw, tree chipper, tree stumper, air compressor, jackhammer, air-driven compaction tools.
Frequent standing, walking, talking, hearing; manual dexterity; occasional lifting up to 100 pounds; visual acuity.
Primarily outdoor work in various weather conditions, with exposure to noise, vibration, and mechanical hazards. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for disabilities.
Valid North Dakota commercial driver license within three months of hire; insurable under City’s insurance. Safety-sensitive position requiring pre-employment drug testing and ongoing substance testing.
