Job summary

Fremont County is seeking a skilled heavy equipment operator to perform digging, grading, snow removal and road maintenance tasks. You will operate mower, grader, loader, backhoe, and other listed equipment, coordinating with the ground crew to meet grade requirements and safety standards.

Requirements include an Associate degree or equivalent and a Colorado CDL Class A or B with Tanker endorsement. The County offers health, dental, life insurance, retirement, and paid time off as part of the

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent from a two-year college or training, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to operate any four listed equipment proficiently.
• Valid Colorado CDL Class A or B with Tanker endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to dig, grade, and maintain roads per grade stakes and signals.
• Coordinate with ground crew and maintain safe operations on site.
• Inspect, grease, and minor-repair assigned equipment; report major issues.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs and ensure proper equipment functioning.
