What You’ll Do:
  1. Promote Safety: Prioritize safety throughout the operation for yourself and others, in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
  2. Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate off-highway equipment to transport raw materials and/or finished products efficiently.
  3. Inspect Equipment: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and accurately complete related documentation.
  4. Maintain Equipment: Check vehicle fluid levels, add fluids as necessary, and assist in minor maintenance.
  5. Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings: Observe plant operations and report maintenance or adjustments needed to ensure safety.
  6. Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned.
Skills You’ll Need:
  • Experience: Prior experience operating heavy construction equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of Best Practices: Understanding of principles of operating and servicing heavy equipment preferred.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime, extended hours, outdoors in all weather, and tolerate loud noises.
