Job Description - Heavy Equipment Operator - Haul Truck (2500019B)

What You’ll Do:

1. Promote Safety: Prioritize safety for yourself and others at all times, adhering to MSHA and Vulcan standards.
2. Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate off-highway equipment to transport raw materials or finished products within the facility.
3. Inspect Equipment: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and complete relevant reports accurately.
4. Maintain Equipment: Check fluid levels, add correct fluids, and assist with minor maintenance tasks.
5. Monitor Processes and Surroundings: Oversee plant operations, reporting maintenance or adjustments needed to ensure safety.
6. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills You’ll Need:

• Experience: Prior experience operating heavy construction equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of Best Practices: Understanding of operating and servicing heavy equipment is preferred.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime, extended hours, outdoors in various weather conditions, and tolerate loud noises.
