Job Description - Heavy Equipment Operator - Haul Truck (25000191)

What You’ll Do:
  1. Promote Safety: Prioritize safety throughout the operation, adhering to MSHA and Vulcan standards, for yourself and others at all times.
  2. Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate off-highway equipment to transport raw materials and finished products within the facility.
  3. Inspect Equipment: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, complete accurate daily reports and documentation.
  4. Maintain Equipment: Check vehicle fluid levels, add fluids as necessary, and assist with minor maintenance.
  5. Monitor Processes and Surroundings: Oversee plant operations, report maintenance or adjustments needed to ensure safety.
  6. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills You’ll Need:
  • Experience: Previous experience operating heavy construction equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of Best Practices: Understanding of operating and servicing heavy equipment preferred.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime, extended hours, outdoors in all weather conditions, and tolerate loud noises.
