Job summary

Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction is seeking an Equipment Operator to operate multiple types of heavy equipment on job sites, including backhoe, dozer, excavator, loader, and more to prepare terrain and meet project specs.

You will use GPS and manual controls for precise grading, handle attachments, perform light maintenance, and support pipe crews while adhering to safety standards in fast-paced environments; overtime and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of heavy equipment operating experience.
• Willing to do laborer work.
• Ability to work as a team member and maintain a professional attitude.
• Motivated self-starter and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work safely under pressure with time constraints.
• Flexible availability for overtime and possible weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple heavy equipment types (backhoe, dozer, excavator, loader, grader, scrapers, etc.) to prepare job sites and meet project specs.
• Use GPS and manual controls for precise grading and excavation.
• Handle attachments, hydraulics, and perform trenching, loading, and material movement.
• Maintain equipment and perform light maintenance; ensure safe operation.
• Work in fast-paced, high-production environments with minimal supervision.
• Support pipe crew operations and adhere to safety standards.
