As a Heavy Equipment Operator at Duininck, you will play a vital role in safely operating and maintaining various equipment at maximum production levels. This position offers opportunities for learning, growth, and advancement within a company deeply committed to building strong communities.

Heavy Equipment Opportunities are available within various divisions:

  • Aggregates
  • Asphalt | Paving
  • Grading
  • Underground and more.

Please note that this role requires a willingness to travel throughout Central and Western Minnesota, Northern Iowa, and Eastern Dakotas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely operates medium to heavy equipment.
  • Works closely with other crew members using hand signals to coordinate work and ensure safety.
  • Performs daily inspection and maintenance and ensures that equipment is in safe, proper working order including fluid checks and adequate lubrication.
  • Notifies supervisor when equipment needs maintenance and repair.
  • Keeping equipment clean and preparing equipment for transport on flatbed when needed.
  • Maintain orderliness, cleanliness, and safety at the job site.
  • Follow the Supervisor’s instructions closely.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understand the basics of mechanical equipment's.
  • Experience running heavy equipment is required.
  • Understand and adhere to all safety regulations.
  • Understand and adhere to the Personal Protection Equipment requirements.
  • An unwavering focus on safety.
  • OSHA
  • Willingness to travel throughout Central and Western Minnesota, Northern Iowa, and Eastern Dakotas.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch and sit.
  • Work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Regularly work extended | overtime hours outdoors and in various weather conditions at all project locations.
  • Travel is required.
