Gulf Coast Utility Contractors is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support grading and site preparation for utility installation and roadways in Bay County, FL. Local candidates with a strong safety record and teamwork mindset will thrive in our field crews.

Responsibilities include operating excavators, dozers, loaders and graders, performing grading tasks, and conducting routine equipment maintenance while meeting project deadlines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of heavy equipment operating experience in construction.
• Must be able to access military installations.
• Valid driver’s license or ID required.

Job Summary:

The Heavy Equipment Operator involves operating various types of heavy machinery to assist in grading and site preparation for utility installation and roadways. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction site grading a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, and motor graders.
• Perform grading tasks to prepare sites for utility installation and roadways.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment.
• Work closely with foreman and crew members to meet project deadlines.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to access military installations.
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction setting.
• Familiarity with grading techniques and reading plans.
• Valid driver's license or ID required
• Strong work ethic and team oriented attitude
• Competitive hourly wage or salary (based on experience)

Schedule:

• 10 hour shifts
• Day shift
• Night shift
