Job summary

DIG (Digital Installation Group LLC) is a northern Virginia-based dry utility design and construction company expanding its team. We seek a qualified Operator to safely support excavation, installation, and maintenance of underground utility infrastructure with strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience operating heavy equipment, with backhoes and excavators preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in teams.
• Active driver’s license; DOT/CDL may be required for certain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment (excavators, backhoes, loaders, trench compactors) to support trenching and utility installation.
• Prepare job sites, load/unload equipment, and assist crew as needed.
• Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance; report malfunctions.
• Follow Foreman/Superintendent instructions and maintain communication.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to OSHA policies.
• Assist with on-site tasks and ensure worksite cleanliness and organization.
