POSITION SUMMARY
The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, environmentally responsible handling of material and operation of equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Move bulk material and cargo, and/or load trucks, through the use of heavy equipment including: a compactor, front-end loader, bulldozer, excavator, or trackhoe.
Operate all equipment safely and efficiently
Perform general labor tasks to assist with material processing, property maintenance, pile maintenance, or other projects as needed.
Perform general labor tasks associated with the use, care, cleaning, and maintenance of the equipment.
Perform daily clean-up of the work site.
Follow all safety and operational policies, regulations, and programs.
Successfully complete all required training programs.
Interact effectively with other employees.
Perform other duties as assigned and assist other staff as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
HS Diploma or equivalent.
Must have a minimum 1–3 years’ experience operating heavy equipment including: front-end loader, bulldozer, and/or excavator
Ability to safely lift 50 lbs.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work varied hours including weekends, holidays, evenings, and/or overnight shifts required.
Ability to travel to other Company operations when needed.
