Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator - Road Construction

Position Overview: This is a highly skilled position involving the operation of heavy equipment on road construction projects. Applicants must have at least three years of experience operating equipment such as motor graders, bulldozers, excavators, or front-end loaders. Experience in road construction projects is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy road construction equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance, oiling, greasing, and minor repairs; report major issues to supervisors.
• Understand all aspects of paving, including preparatory work, grading, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate sizing, and job specifications.
• Set up and maintain equipment, including setting string lines and adjusting screed extensions.
• Assist with related tasks such as shovel work as needed.
