Position Summary:

Colonie Landfill is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team.

Pay for this role: $23.00 per hour

Responsibilities include:

• Operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor graders, scrapers, and compactors.
• Performing routine inspection and maintenance on equipment.
• Promoting safety and environmental practices.
• Interacting with customers and employees to resolve service issues safely and environmentally soundly.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
