Job summary

Branscome in Virginia is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Charles City site to move and level earth using grading equipment. You will read slope stakes and perform both rough and fine grade operations to meet project specs.

Responsibilities include directing trucks, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety policies. A High School Diploma is preferred; MSHA certification and a valid driver's license are a plus, with night and weekend availability expected.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Heavy Construction / Grading Equipment operating experience for rough and fine grade operations.
• MSHA certification a plus.
• Understand GPS grade control.
• Ability to read and interpret grade elevations and stakeout.
• Valid Driver’s License in good standing.

Reports to: Site Manager

Major Role and Purpose

• Operate Heavy Construction / Grading Equipment to move and level materials, such as dirt, sand, and stone.
