Position Summary:

Cinterra is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator for large utility and commercial projects. As a Solar Equipment Operator, you will operate Skid Steer, Off Road Forklifts, and UTVs, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality project completion. Your role involves handling materials to facilitate installation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate equipment properly during installation, maintaining safety for all team members.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment daily to ensure it is operational.
  • Follow safety regulations and promote safe practices among ground crews.
  • Keep maintenance and safety records; report any deficiencies during work.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering skill development.

Requirements:

  • At least six months of solar experience and certification in relevant equipment.
  • Positive leadership qualities and willingness to assist site management.
  • OSHA 10 certification or higher, with strong safety knowledge.
  • Problem-solving skills to address installation issues effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Professional communication skills with coworkers and managers.
  • Attention to detail to ensure quality work.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment (up to 50+ pounds).
  • Traverse uneven and steep terrain.
  • Perform physical tasks like bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods.
  • Navigate construction sites, including climbing ladders and scaffolding.
  • Work in confined spaces such as trenches and tunnels.
  • Wear personal protective gear most of the day.
  • Work in various weather conditions.
  • Manual dexterity, good balance, and hand-eye coordination required.
