Job Description - Heavy Equipment Operator 6:00 am - 5:00 pm (2500016P)

What You’ll Do:

1. Promote Safety: Prioritize safety in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards, actively ensuring safety for yourself and others at all times.
2. Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate off-highway equipment to transport raw materials and finished products throughout the facility.
3. Inspect Equipment: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and complete daily mobile equipment reports and relevant documentation.
4. Maintain Equipment: Check vehicle fluid levels, add necessary fluids, and assist with minor maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
5. Monitor Processes and Surroundings: Oversee plant operations and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.

Skills You’ll Need:

1. Experience: Prior experience operating heavy construction equipment preferred.
2. Knowledge of Best Practices: Understanding of principles and practices of operating and servicing heavy construction equipment preferred.
3. Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime and extended hours as needed, outdoors in all weather conditions, and tolerate loud noises.
