Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to ensure a steady flow of material for processing. The role trains on Front End Loader operation to mix raw materials and load/unload product to meet production goals.

You will perform daily loader maintenance, keep areas clean, and follow safety rules. Weekend or holiday shifts may be required; strong work history and reliability are essential. Must be able to work nights if needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience in loader operation.
• Demonstrated solid work history required.
• Must have flexibility to be able to work weekends, holidays or to cover other shifts as business needs arise.

Responsibilities

• Operates yard and plant equipment to load materials. Maintains raw material mixture.
• Maintains contact with operator to ensure most efficient mix rate.
• Performs daily maintenance on loader before each shift.
• Washes plant equipment, vehicles, and processing areas as necessary using high pressure power washer.
• Performs general cleaning as needed in work areas.
• Keeps area clean; raw materials piled out of driving area.
• Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for ensuring a steady flow of material for processing. Employee will receive training to be able to safely operate a Front End Loader and learn how to use this piece of equipment to mix raw materials, unload and load product to meet production goals.
