Job Overview

Watson C&D LLC is actively seeking a dependable Heavy Equipment Operator to support operations at our landfill and construction sites throughout Alachua County, FL. In this critical role, you will operate a variety of heavy machinery-such as dozers, loaders, and track hoes-for grading, backfilling, and loading tasks that support our residential and commercial services. This position is ideal for someone with prior equipment operation experience who is ready to work hard and grow with a company that values safety, reliability, and career development.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate dozers, loaders, track hoes, and other heavy equipment for site work and landfill operations
• Perform grading, loading, and backfilling to meet project specifications
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair needs
• Maintain safe and clean job sites at all times
• Follow supervisor instructions and collaborate with team members
• Ensure full compliance with company and safety policies
• Assist with mobile grinder operations (a plus)
  
  

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment (preferred)
• Familiar with dozers, loaders, and track hoes
• Experience with mobile grinders is a plus
• Valid driver's license (preferred)
• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work independently
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Familiarity with DOT regulations, safety protocols, and the ability to pass DOT screening.
