EcoSouth in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to precisely manage loaders and other heavy machinery on outdoor construction sites. You will perform daily equipment inspections, coordinate with crew, and follow safety protocols to ensure timely project completion.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, a drug screen and background check, crusher experience, and at least 2 years in the field.

Compensation:

$19 - $21 hourly

Qualifications:

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Required:

• Pass a drug screen and a background check
• Must have Crusher experience
• 2 years of experience

Physical Requirements:

• Vision: Adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, give directions, and engage in other business interactions
• Hearing: Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals
• Speaking: Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying sizes with or without amplification
• Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of tools
• Carrying: Able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg
• Lifting: able to lift up to 30lbs/14kg
• Squatting/Kneeling: able to squat or kneel
• Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time, delivering information
• Walking: Able to walk through the shop and other outside elements
