Job summary

Gulf Coast Utility Contractors is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to support grading and site preparation for utility installation and roadways in Bay County, FL and surrounding counties.

Must be local. The role requires operating excavators, dozers, loaders, and motor graders, with emphasis on safety, efficiency, and teamwork to meet project deadlines. Competitive pay, overtime, and benefits available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction setting.
• Familiarity with grading techniques and reading plans.
• Must be able to access military installations.
• Valid driver's license or ID required.

Job Summary:

The Heavy Equipment Operator involves operating various types of heavy machinery to assist in grading and site preparation for utility installation and roadways. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction site grading a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, and motor graders.
• Perform grading tasks to prepare sites for utility installation and roadways.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment.
• Work closely with foreman and crew members to meet project deadlines.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
