Job summary

PSC Construction is seeking an Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in a stable, year-round role. You will operate excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and related earthmoving machinery, following project plans and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of heavy equipment operating experience.
• Experience operating excavators, skid steers, backhoes, dozers, loaders.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic maintenance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; safety-conscious with attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel periodically when required by the project.
• No criminal misdemeanors within the last 5 years or criminal felonies within the last 7 years.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, trenchers, skid steers, backhoes, and other earthmoving equipment.
• Perform excavation, grading, trenching, and compaction according to project plans and specifications.
• Read and follow blueprints, plans, and job specifications.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with foremen, supervisors, project managers, and other jobsite personnel.
• Work as part of a team to complete projects safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite.
• Assist with other jobsite duties as needed.
